The Hammam path, also known as Turkish bath, is a dive into one's own time, listening to the body which, finally relaxed, comes into contact with the soul again; it is a ritual that mixes beauty and well-being. Since ancient times, Greeks, Romans, Turks and Arabs have been civilizations deeply linked to the cult of the steam bath (from the Arabic hammam -   thermal complex in which to carry out purifying rites) and they loved to immerse themselves in its warm and enveloping atmospheres. Its benefits are also evident to modern man, subjected to an overload of physical and mental stress. They range from a deep purifying effect of the first skin layers, with an elimination of dead cells due to the naturally exfoliating effect of the steam, for a smooth, luminous and compact skin; to a stimulation of blood circulation, especially if the stop in the hammam is followed by a cold shower, for a sensation of regenerating toning. It is also useful to combat water retention - heat conveys excess water trapped in the tissues to the surface - and to relieve pain and contractures by loosening and relaxing the muscles. The Hammam also helps prevent colds and minor respiratory diseases, thanks to the balsamic and soothing effect of steam mixed with beneficial essential oils.
